Narrative:
En route from lga to cle, lead flight attendant advised that B flight attendant had cut her head after bumping it on galley door. I decided to divert to pit, which was the nearest suitable airport, to obtain medical attention. Then, the injured flight attendant called on the interphone and said she was ok and to continue on to cle. We advised ATC and company that we would not divert, but, after further consideration, decided that diverting to pit would be the appropriate course of action. We landed in pit, where medical attention was administered to the injured flight attendant. Got a replacement flight attendant and continued on to cle.
