Narrative:
During boarding at sdq, the drug enforcement agency entered cockpit to advise they needed to transport a drug affiliated money laundering lord. They said the prisoner was secure, and took all responsibility for his transport. After departure, I (captain) learned neither agent carried the required handgun. This violated our airline part 1 rules. The flight proceeded normally.
