Narrative:
B-737 takeoff roll at nome airport runway 27. (V1 speed was 131 KTS at 102400 pounds gross weight). Prior to V1, ingested seagull into #1 engine. Compressor stalled, aircraft yawed. Commenced abort at 128 KIAS with approximately 2500 ft runway remaining. Aircraft stopped with 600 ft runway remaining (note: dry runway). Extreme vibration at idle, so #1 engine shutdown. Airport fire truck examined tires and wheels. No evidence or flats or fire. Taxied to terminal. Deplaned normally. No injuries. Extensive damage to #1 engine compressor.
