Narrative:
Received taxi clearance from mdw ground, after turning on taxiway Y en route to runway 4 right the controller stated that we were instructed to hold short of the Y taxiway. There was no safety related near miss or anything that would affect the safety of passenger or others. The txwys and airport was extremely congested at the time due to a thunderstorm over the field. The controllers should read the taxi clrncs slower and be more clear even when they are extremely busy.
