Narrative:
Problem arose due to presence of a pwrline, unmarked, within 100 ft of landing end of runway, in this case the north end. Runway is grass, 2100 ft long. Crude, hand painted sign on gray material, with black lettering, that said 'danger' nailed (?) to top of post on the east side of approach not visible until 1 second or so of impact. Contributing factors: sun low on the horizon and behind me, low contrast between wire and surrounding terrain, absence of any clearly visible indicators of a pwrline being present.
