Narrative:
While at cruise FL180, we felt 2 definite shudders. Approximately 6 degree temperature increase and, torque drop on the #2 engine. Then we had a complete drop in oil pressure and engine failure. We followed the quick reference checklist in 'precautionary engine shutdown.' propeller didn't manually feather, had to use electrical feathering system. An emergency was declared with ZID. We received vectors direct evv. Completed an uneventful single engine landing. After clearing the runway 22, we had the emergency equipment (crash truck) visually inspect the #2 engine before we proceeded on a single engine taxi to the gate.
