Narrative:

We were practicing some touch and goes at right traffic pattern at runway 35. Then left about 15 mins to shoot ILS approachs at fort campbell (hop). After completing the approach, we asked campbell controller to return to outlaw field. After radar service was terminated, we called the unicom to tell our intention. At approximately 5 mi northeast of outlaw field. Then we joined right downwind runway 35, and we didn't receive any radio while we were approaching. Then we found 1 airplane flew above us. But we were not sure that airplane is departing or approaching. We tried to look for that airplane, but to look direct backward was not so easy. So, we turned to base to final maintaining traffic pattern altitude. During this maneuver, no radio calls were coming. When we tried to turn to final, we found the airplane on the runway, so we did go around. And the same time, the airplane called 'we're using runway 17 now.' it was his first call during this happening. So we called radio to depart the traffic pattern and re-enter the left traffic pattern for runway 17 and land. On that time, before entering the traffic pattern, we checked windsock and the united states flag in front of the terminal building which shows light wind from north. And before and after this period, our airport were using runway 35.

Title: IMPROPER COM PROCS CAUSE LOSS OF SEPARATION. IMPROPER TFC PATTERN PROCS.

Narrative: WE WERE PRACTICING SOME TOUCH AND GOES AT R TFC PATTERN AT RWY 35. THEN LEFT ABOUT 15 MINS TO SHOOT ILS APCHS AT FORT CAMPBELL (HOP). AFTER COMPLETING THE APCH, WE ASKED CAMPBELL CTLR TO RETURN TO OUTLAW FIELD. AFTER RADAR SVC WAS TERMINATED, WE CALLED THE UNICOM TO TELL OUR INTENTION. AT APPROX 5 MI NE OF OUTLAW FIELD. THEN WE JOINED R DOWNWIND RWY 35, AND WE DIDN'T RECEIVE ANY RADIO WHILE WE WERE APCHING. THEN WE FOUND 1 AIRPLANE FLEW ABOVE US. BUT WE WERE NOT SURE THAT AIRPLANE IS DEPARTING OR APCHING. WE TRIED TO LOOK FOR THAT AIRPLANE, BUT TO LOOK DIRECT BACKWARD WAS NOT SO EASY. SO, WE TURNED TO BASE TO FINAL MAINTAINING TFC PATTERN ALT. DURING THIS MANEUVER, NO RADIO CALLS WERE COMING. WHEN WE TRIED TO TURN TO FINAL, WE FOUND THE AIRPLANE ON THE RWY, SO WE DID GAR. AND THE SAME TIME, THE AIRPLANE CALLED 'WE'RE USING RWY 17 NOW.' IT WAS HIS FIRST CALL DURING THIS HAPPENING. SO WE CALLED RADIO TO DEPART THE TFC PATTERN AND RE-ENTER THE L TFC PATTERN FOR RWY 17 AND LAND. ON THAT TIME, BEFORE ENTERING THE TFC PATTERN, WE CHKED WINDSOCK AND THE UNITED STATES FLAG IN FRONT OF THE TERMINAL BUILDING WHICH SHOWS LIGHT WIND FROM N. AND BEFORE AND AFTER THIS PERIOD, OUR ARPT WERE USING RWY 35.
