Narrative:
I obtained the WX and NOTAMS for an air ambulance flight from bfi to mwh from commercial computer WX service provided by washington state. Runway 14L-32R mwh was notamed closed. I did not attempt to contact anyone for other NOTAMS at mwh. When we arrived at mwh, we found out about other runway closures with the result that there was no runway portion open that was long enough (5000 ft) for us to land on. The local controller suggested runway 18-36 with 4000 ft of taxiway, giving us over 7000 ft of surface. It was over 7000 ft long and 75 ft wide. We flew over the airport to look the situation over, and then landed on the taxiway and rolled out on runway 18 (wind from the south). Uneventful landing. We should have made an effort to obtain NOTAMS that were not included in the commercial list. (Fdc NOTAMS).
