Narrative:
I installed a wingtip assembly on a cessna citation ii at 3g8 to be flown to N22 for necessary repairs. There was a dent in the leading edge/de-icer boot about 6 inches in from the tip, also a slight wrinkle in the outboard rib about 8 inches forward of the trailing edge. I had made an entry on the discrepancy sign off area of the aircraft trip report, that a svcable wingtip assembly had been installed. I made no attempt to straighten the rip as that could possibly cause fuel leaks. Nor did I attempt any repair of the leading edge dent as the cessna structural repair manual did not specifically outline repairs to this area of the wing. I had discussed the damage with my supervisor via phone. My assessment of the damage was that it would not affect the flight characteristics of the airplane as all damage was outboard of all flight control surfaces. The crew flew the airplane to N22 without incident.

Title: WINGTIP REPLACED ON C-550 CITATION II BUT OTHER WING DISCREPANCIES WERE NOT CORRECTED PRIOR TO FLT.
Narrative: I INSTALLED A WINGTIP ASSEMBLY ON A CESSNA CITATION II AT 3G8 TO BE FLOWN TO N22 FOR NECESSARY REPAIRS. THERE WAS A DENT IN THE LEADING EDGE/DE-ICER BOOT ABOUT 6 INCHES IN FROM THE TIP, ALSO A SLIGHT WRINKLE IN THE OUTBOARD RIB ABOUT 8 INCHES FORWARD OF THE TRAILING EDGE. I HAD MADE AN ENTRY ON THE DISCREPANCY SIGN OFF AREA OF THE ACFT TRIP RPT, THAT A SVCABLE WINGTIP ASSEMBLY HAD BEEN INSTALLED. I HAD DISCUSSED THE DAMAGE WITH MY SUPVR VIA PHONE. MY ASSESSMENT OF THE DAMAGE WAS THAT IT WOULD NOT AFFECT THE FLT CHARACTERISTICS OF THE AIRPLANE AS ALL DAMAGE WAS OUTBOARD OF ALL FLT CTL SURFACES. THE CREW FLEW THE AIRPLANE TO N22 WITHOUT INCIDENT.
