Narrative:
We were cleared into position and hold on roa runway 15. I told the trainee copilot it was his turn to takeoff. While waiting for takeoff clearance we discussed the routine. While my attention was diverted for a moment the copilot inadvertently thought, he was cleared for takeoff and started rolling forward about a 100 ft before I noticed and stopped the aircraft. We were still at least 100 yards from the intersecting runway where a passenger jet was landing. The tower yelled at me to stop but I was already stopping. I suppose the only way to prevent this from happening in the future is to be a lot more attentive when flying with new people. Supplemental information from acn 280967: other aircraft cleared into position and hold on crossing runway 15. We were cleared to land on runway 6. After touchdown heard controller issue instructions to other aircraft to stop immediately. I looked up and saw dc-3 rolling with tail up. I then used maximum reverse and braking to stop aircraft. Other aircraft stopped also before there was a serious conflict.

Title: ACR X, A DC-3, STARTS AN UNAUTH TKOF. TKOF ABORTED AS PIC REALIZES SIT AND TWR CTLR INTERVENES.
Narrative: WE WERE CLRED INTO POS AND HOLD ON ROA RWY 15. I TOLD THE TRAINEE COPLT IT WAS HIS TURN TO TKOF. WHILE WAITING FOR TKOF CLRNC WE DISCUSSED THE ROUTINE. WHILE MY ATTN WAS DIVERTED FOR A MOMENT THE COPLT INADVERTENTLY THOUGHT, HE WAS CLRED FOR TKOF AND STARTED ROLLING FORWARD ABOUT A 100 FT BEFORE I NOTICED AND STOPPED THE ACFT. WE WERE STILL AT LEAST 100 YARDS FROM THE INTERSECTING RWY WHERE A PAX JET WAS LNDG. THE TWR YELLED AT ME TO STOP BUT I WAS ALREADY STOPPING. I SUPPOSE THE ONLY WAY TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING IN THE FUTURE IS TO BE A LOT MORE ATTENTIVE WHEN FLYING WITH NEW PEOPLE. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 280967: OTHER ACFT CLRED INTO POS AND HOLD ON XING RWY 15. WE WERE CLRED TO LAND ON RWY 6. AFTER TOUCHDOWN HEARD CTLR ISSUE INSTRUCTIONS TO OTHER ACFT TO STOP IMMEDIATELY. I LOOKED UP AND SAW DC-3 ROLLING WITH TAIL UP. I THEN USED MAX REVERSE AND BRAKING TO STOP ACFT. OTHER ACFT STOPPED ALSO BEFORE THERE WAS A SERIOUS CONFLICT.
