Narrative:
After flying an international wet lease scheduled route between miami international airport (mia) and grand cayman international airport from aug/xx/94 - aug/xy/94 I was advised on aug/xx/94 that lease operator did not have the department of transport approval to operate this route and the certificate holder did not have flag carrier status included in it's operations specifications. I did not have previous knowledge of this and upon notification operation was immediately ceased. The route was being operated by other aircraft. As soon as I gained knowledge of this I filed this report.

Title: CAPT OF AN ATX SMT CARGO OPERATED ON AN INTL RTE WITHOUT OPS SPEC APPROVAL.
Narrative: AFTER FLYING AN INTL WET LEASE SCHEDULED RTE BTWN MIAMI INTL ARPT (MIA) AND GRAND CAYMAN INTL ARPT FROM AUG/XX/94 - AUG/XY/94 I WAS ADVISED ON AUG/XX/94 THAT LEASE OPERATOR DID NOT HAVE THE DEPT OF TRANSPORT APPROVAL TO OPERATE THIS RTE AND THE CERTIFICATE HOLDER DID NOT HAVE FLAG CARRIER STATUS INCLUDED IN IT'S OPS SPECS.
