Narrative:
I just read callback #183 and thought you'd enjoy this incident. I reported to my training captain for my first left seat trip in the little bitty jet. He told me the preflight was ok (wrong). I found all 4 static ports covered with black tape. (Airplane just out of 24 month pitot static check.) moral: trust but verify!
