Narrative:
During descent from 370 for landing at hpn we heard a loud noise and vibration from area below cabin floor. After landing at hpn we discovered an access panel for lavatory service had come open, and was bent and ripped. 50 percent of panel had departed aircraft. No other damage to aircraft. Captain said no notification was required. I would have slowed aircraft from 350 KTS indicated to 200 KTS. However captain did not.
