Narrative:

Climbing to FL410 out of FL400, right front windshield suddenly cracked. Oxygen masks on, immediate descent requested (no structural compromise noted) and granted. Descended to FL190, performed appropriate checklist. Damage confined to outer layer of glass. Proceeding to destination (bwi) at reduced airspeed and psi differential appropriate. There was no evidence of damage to structural plies of windscreen. We did not feel it necessary to declare an emergency in this case. The windshield was replaced that night and no structural damage was reported.
