Narrative:
The problem arose when I arrived in new york and was asked to fly this aircraft to smyrna, tn, by owner. I determined that the aircraft had an airworthiness certificate, registration, and, weight and balance dated aug/xx/94. The aircraft had gone through a new annual inspection in jul/xx/94, so I determined the aircraft was airworthy. The reason for the trip was to take the airplane to have the flight phone wired as well as the coffee pot. The flight to smyrna, tn, was uneventful. There were, however, 2 seats out of the aircraft, making a weight change of about 50 pounds. After arriving in smyrna, tn, later that night, the FAA arrived at the airport with a report that the aircraft was unairworthy and was asked not to fly said aircraft again until they determined that it was airworthy. The next day it was determined that the aircraft had a new interior since the last weight and balance, therefore unairworthy. The reported situation came to the attention of FAA by the interior shop. I did not know that the owner had not paid his bill to them. Upon review of my license and medical, I discovered that my medical had expired. Aircraft was weighted that same day and was given a clean bill of health from FSDO in nashville, tn. I can assure the FAA that it will never happen again.

Title: PLT OF SMT OPERATED THE ACFT WHEN THE ACFT WT AND BAL AND PLT MEDICAL CERTIFICATE WERE NOT CURRENT.
Narrative: THE PROB AROSE WHEN I ARRIVED IN NEW YORK AND WAS ASKED TO FLY THIS ACFT TO SMYRNA, TN, BY OWNER. I DETERMINED THAT THE ACFT HAD AN AIRWORTHINESS CERTIFICATE, REGISTRATION, AND, WT AND BAL DATED AUG/XX/94. THE ACFT HAD GONE THROUGH A NEW ANNUAL INSPECTION IN JUL/XX/94, SO I DETERMINED THE ACFT WAS AIRWORTHY. THE REASON FOR THE TRIP WAS TO TAKE THE AIRPLANE TO HAVE THE FLT PHONE WIRED AS WELL AS THE COFFEE POT. THE FLT TO SMYRNA, TN, WAS UNEVENTFUL. THERE WERE, HOWEVER, 2 SEATS OUT OF THE ACFT, MAKING A WT CHANGE OF ABOUT 50 LBS. AFTER ARRIVING IN SMYRNA, TN, LATER THAT NIGHT, THE FAA ARRIVED AT THE ARPT WITH A RPT THAT THE ACFT WAS UNAIRWORTHY AND WAS ASKED NOT TO FLY SAID ACFT AGAIN UNTIL THEY DETERMINED THAT IT WAS AIRWORTHY. THE NEXT DAY IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE ACFT HAD A NEW INTERIOR SINCE THE LAST WT AND BAL, THEREFORE UNAIRWORTHY. THE RPTED SIT CAME TO THE ATTN OF FAA BY THE INTERIOR SHOP. I DID NOT KNOW THAT THE OWNER HAD NOT PAID HIS BILL TO THEM. UPON REVIEW OF MY LICENSE AND MEDICAL, I DISCOVERED THAT MY MEDICAL HAD EXPIRED. ACFT WAS WEIGHTED THAT SAME DAY AND WAS GIVEN A CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH FROM FSDO IN NASHVILLE, TN. I CAN ASSURE THE FAA THAT IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN.
