Narrative:
Aircraft departed tracy airport (tcy) with tow bar attached. Gear retracted part way with tow bar lodged in nose gear. Manual efforts to lower gear failed to get the gear down. Contacted sck approach and advised of situation. Aircraft circled approximately 2 hours before contacting sck tower for clearance to land. Contacted NTSB and FAA regarding this matter. Classified as 'incident.'

Title: PLT TOOK OFF WITH TOW BAR ATTACHED TO NOSE GEAR AND COULD NOT GET THE GEAR DOWN.
Narrative: ACFT DEPARTED TRACY ARPT (TCY) WITH TOW BAR ATTACHED. GEAR RETRACTED PART WAY WITH TOW BAR LODGED IN NOSE GEAR. MANUAL EFFORTS TO LOWER GEAR FAILED TO GET THE GEAR DOWN. CONTACTED SCK APCH AND ADVISED OF SIT. ACFT CIRCLED APPROX 2 HRS BEFORE CONTACTING SCK TWR FOR CLRNC TO LAND. CONTACTED NTSB AND FAA REGARDING THIS MATTER. CLASSIFIED AS 'INCIDENT.'
