Narrative:
On approach at 1000 ft AGL runway 33L bwi ATC reported aircraft ahead 'thought' he saw a deer near the touchdown zone and wasn't sure if he hit it. ATC asked our intentions apparently in case we wanted to go around. I thought this would be silly because somebody 'thought' they saw a deer. However, I elected to land a bit longer in case. In our flare we passed over a deer carcass at the 1000 ft mark at the far left side of the runway.
