Narrative:
On climb out from san jose on the loop 9 departure the aft cargo door light on the overhead annunciator panel illuminated. The aircraft was leveled-off at 5000 ft on the loop 9. We requested a level-off at 5000 ft for an immediate return to san jose. ATC approved our request, and we next requested a visual approach which was also approved. An uneventful approach and landing ensued. We returned to the gate, maintenance closed and secured the door for us, the door light was extinguished we refueled and then continued the remainder of the trip operations normal.
