Narrative:
When parking the aircraft at ord the left wingtip hit the door of the hangar, which is located off of Y taxiway at the north end of the field. As I turned off taxiway Y, I stopped the aircraft on the center of the feeder strip leading to the parking area until the signal person positioned himself in front of the aircraft. There were also 2 or 3 other people on the left side of the aircraft in line with the hangar and the left wingtip whom I took to be wingwalkers who were also watching the taxi. I had turned off the landing lights and the runway turnoff lights so as not to blind the signal person. The wing illumination lights were on. We moved forward on the centerline painted on the ground in accordance with the directions from the signal person. After entering the larger parking area, we were given a right turn from the signal person. During this approximately 30 degree turn, the left wingtip hit the hangar. As soon as I felt the hit I stopped the aircraft and shut it down.
