Narrative:
After takeoff from ewr the right main body gear remained untilted and we were unable to raise the landing gear. We were vectored to the sbj VOR 240 degree radial 10 mi legs at 3000 ft as a dump area. 140000 pounds of fuel was dumped while in that holding pattern. We were then vectored for an approach to jfk where an uneventful landing was made. Although no FARS were broken that I know of, the pertinent flight operation and aircraft manual items were complied with. The FAA is investigating this incident after they received complaints of a strong fuel odor from residents in that area.
