Narrative:
I performed a nose gear repack on a dc-9 on jan/aa/95. The work was not finished and another shift finished the job. On jan/bb/95 the aircraft performed an air return due to an open nose gear door. Door was secured and aircraft departed. On jan/cc/95 the aircraft performed another air return due to a loud bang in the nose gear area. The nose gear door was replaced and the aircraft dispatched for service.

Title: ACR RETURNS TWICE DUE TO GEAR DOOR PROBS AFTER MAINT.
Narrative: I PERFORMED A NOSE GEAR REPACK ON A DC-9 ON JAN/AA/95. THE WORK WAS NOT FINISHED AND ANOTHER SHIFT FINISHED THE JOB. ON JAN/BB/95 THE ACFT PERFORMED AN AIR RETURN DUE TO AN OPEN NOSE GEAR DOOR. DOOR WAS SECURED AND ACFT DEPARTED. ON JAN/CC/95 THE ACFT PERFORMED ANOTHER AIR RETURN DUE TO A LOUD BANG IN THE NOSE GEAR AREA. THE NOSE GEAR DOOR WAS REPLACED AND THE ACFT DISPATCHED FOR SVC.
