Narrative:
Takeoff from phx in B737-200 flying a published departure to the southeast we were cleared to 8000 ft and climbed through 8000 ft to 8700 ft before stopping climb and returning to 8000 ft. Captain flying. This was the first flight in a B737-200 (no automatic level off) after several days of flying B737-300/500 (automatic level off).

Narrative: TKOF FROM PHX IN B737-200 FLYING A PUBLISHED DEP TO THE SE WE WERE CLRED TO 8000 FT AND CLBED THROUGH 8000 FT TO 8700 FT BEFORE STOPPING CLB AND RETURNING TO 8000 FT. CAPT FLYING. THIS WAS THE FIRST FLT IN A B737-200 (NO AUTO LEVEL OFF) AFTER SEVERAL DAYS OF FLYING B737-300/500 (AUTO LEVEL OFF).
