Narrative:

We were on the ground in oak taxiing to our gate. Another air carrier had pushed back from their gate partially blocking our gate. I taxied around behind the other air carrier and found the spacing to be adequate for us to continue into our gate. We had ramp personnel clearing our wings so there didn't seem to be a problem. The other air carrier's pushback crew advised them there was only 2-3 ft of wingtip clearance which was a great exaggeration. More like 15-20 ft of clearance, as we taxied by. I didn't personally have any problem, but they obviously took exception to us taxiing behind them.
