Narrative:

About 13 mi east of bremr intersection on the civet arrival approach, asked for a speed reduction to 250 KTS from our previously assigned 320 KTS. As we were already in a descent, captain deployed speed brakes to aid speed reduction. The STAR calls for bremr intersection to be crossed at or above 12000 ft but he had previously set 10000 ft in the altitude window on the mode control panel, relying on the flight management computer to make the crossing restr. For one reason or another (misprogramming the FMC or FMC failure (doubt it though)) we busted the 12000 ft restr and leveled at 11400 ft. By that time we were over bremr intersection and continued down to the next fix altitude. Captain is very distrusting of glass cockpits having had him on a shorter leash as I have over 2300 hours in type to his 300-400 hours in type.

Title: ALT BUST ON STAR ARR. DSCNT PROC.

Narrative: ABOUT 13 MI E OF BREMR INTXN ON THE CIVET ARR APCH, ASKED FOR A SPD REDUCTION TO 250 KTS FROM OUR PREVIOUSLY ASSIGNED 320 KTS. AS WE WERE ALREADY IN A DSCNT, CAPT DEPLOYED SPD BRAKES TO AID SPD REDUCTION. THE STAR CALLS FOR BREMR INTXN TO BE CROSSED AT OR ABOVE 12000 FT BUT HE HAD PREVIOUSLY SET 10000 FT IN THE ALT WINDOW ON THE MODE CTL PANEL, RELYING ON THE FLT MGMNT COMPUTER TO MAKE THE XING RESTR. FOR ONE REASON OR ANOTHER (MISPROGRAMMING THE FMC OR FMC FAILURE (DOUBT IT THOUGH)) WE BUSTED THE 12000 FT RESTR AND LEVELED AT 11400 FT. BY THAT TIME WE WERE OVER BREMR INTXN AND CONTINUED DOWN TO THE NEXT FIX ALT. CAPT IS VERY DISTRUSTING OF GLASS COCKPITS HAVING HAD HIM ON A SHORTER LEASH AS I HAVE OVER 2300 HRS IN TYPE TO HIS 300-400 HRS IN TYPE.
