Narrative:
During the civet 3 arrival to lax ATC slowed us from 220 KTS to 180 KTS as we approached the arnes intersection. During deceleration we inadvertently missed the 11000 ft altitude restr and crossed arnes at approximately 11700 ft there did not appear to be a conflict nor did ATC comment. Supplemental information from acn 296146: in attempting to slow the aircraft- programming the FMS and somehow distracted by radio and cockpit activity we failed to meet the crossing restr.
