Narrative:

On feb/xx/95 I was flying a kitfox iv (experimental) when suddenly the engine sputtered for about 5 seconds, it quit running. The failure occurred about 700 ft AGL but the engine did not restart despite several attempts. An off airport landing was made without injuries to the pilots, airplane, or property on the ground. It was determined that the airplane had contaminated automotive fuel.
