Narrative:
On a training flight, coming back from a night IFR cross country from lal, my student was practicing partial panel, established on vrb radial 115 degrees waiting for a clearance for the VOR DME runway 29L approach, then he entered an uncontrolled descending turn and lost control of aircraft, I took the controls to regain control of the airplane, but by this time, we had lost 300 ft and got off course. The reason for this incident is that he got disoriented after a quick head movement.
