Narrative:
A loud discussion was going on in back when we were cleared into position and hold on runway 31L. I lined up, added power and departed (without benefit of takeoff clearance). Tower called traffic departing the parallel, but said nothing out of the ordinary. She turned us on course and handed us off to departure, who also said nothing unusual, until he asked me to call the supervisor. I thought about this all the way out, and could come up with nothing that would explain that. When we got down, I called in and talked to the supervisor, who explained what I did. I have absolutely no explanation of why I did that, nor do I remember being cleared to go (or of not being cleared to go). I've flown for this company and this airplane for 12 yrs, I'm used to them! I've never done this before, either.

Narrative: A LOUD DISCUSSION WAS GOING ON IN BACK WHEN WE WERE CLRED INTO POS AND HOLD ON RWY 31L. I LINED UP, ADDED PWR AND DEPARTED (WITHOUT BENEFIT OF TKOF CLRNC). TWR CALLED TFC DEPARTING THE PARALLEL, BUT SAID NOTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY. SHE TURNED US ON COURSE AND HANDED US OFF TO DEP, WHO ALSO SAID NOTHING UNUSUAL, UNTIL HE ASKED ME TO CALL THE SUPVR. I THOUGHT ABOUT THIS ALL THE WAY OUT, AND COULD COME UP WITH NOTHING THAT WOULD EXPLAIN THAT. WHEN WE GOT DOWN, I CALLED IN AND TALKED TO THE SUPVR, WHO EXPLAINED WHAT I DID. I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO EXPLANATION OF WHY I DID THAT, NOR DO I REMEMBER BEING CLRED TO GO (OR OF NOT BEING CLRED TO GO). I'VE FLOWN FOR THIS COMPANY AND THIS AIRPLANE FOR 12 YRS, I'M USED TO THEM! I'VE NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE, EITHER.
