Narrative:
Put slats/flaps out initially on downwind for approach at dtw. Slats did not work, we declared an emergency - accomplished the required company emergency procedure in our manual and landed without further event.

Narrative: PUT SLATS/FLAPS OUT INITIALLY ON DOWNWIND FOR APCH AT DTW. SLATS DID NOT WORK, WE DECLARED AN EMER - ACCOMPLISHED THE REQUIRED COMPANY EMER PROC IN OUR MANUAL AND LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER EVENT.
