Narrative:
En route from oak to slc, ATC cleared us to FL310. Flight plan final altitude was filed for FL330. Once leveled off at FL310, ATC asked us to verify we were climbing to FL330. We told him we were only cleared to FL310. ATC then asked if we would like FL330 or FL310. We said FL310 would be fine and continued at that altitude to slc.
