Narrative:

Crew was unfamiliar with mdw, in a rush to clear runway 31C the crew took taxiway 'a,' the clearance was clear, to proceed on 'F' and hold short of runway 04L. The captain called for the after landing checklist and I did the flow pattern. My attention was on clearing up the checklist and not outside. When I looked up we were on runway 13R and not on taxiway 'F.' further the captain noting his mistake, turned off on runway 04L, the one we were to hold short of. Tower acknowledged the mistake, but said nothing cause, attention of the crew to the main concern of taxi and location awareness. Having the copilot do a checklist at and unnecessary time, and not being in the problem at a critical point.
