Narrative:
I am a licensed a&P mechanic employed by X airlines, on mar/fri/95 aircraft aborted takeoff at bos. Due to the aft cargo door warning light coming on during takeoff roll at approximately 90 KTS - as reported verbally by the crew. The aircraft returned to the ramp area. I met the aircraft and communicated with the captain via headset. I opened and closed the aft cargo door 3 times and verified the door was secured closed and operated normally. I reported this to the crew and it was told to me the warning light was not out. I reported the incident and my findings to maintenance control and made a non- routine entry on logbook. Note: that it was my intention to only verify the door was properly closing and locking and was in fact closed and locked prior to the aircraft departing and to inform the crew to that fact, and that the light coming on was only an indication problem.
