Narrative:
I am a student pilot and have trained at a small airport with a single runway and no taxiway. Since this home airport (18V) has no lights, I was flying into bjc to meet my instructor for night flight lessons. This was my second sold flight into bjc and my first sold landing clearance for runway 29R. After initial contact and instruments I reported my position abeam the tower on right downwind for runway 29R. I was then cleared to land on runway 29R. As I completed my right downwind leg I noticed another aircraft ahead of me on final for runway 29R. I then turned right base and subsequently, final for runway 29R. Looking ahead on final, I could see 1 aircraft running up to the right of the runway and what I believed to be the aircraft that landed ahead of me a sufficient distance down the runway. I then landed. Shortly after landing I was contacted by the tower and instructed to decrease speed as soon as practice because I was on the taxiway. I then taxied to the terminal and contacted the tower as instructed. As a student I am very aware of runway and taxiway markings. Unfortunately, after losing sight of the runway in the base and final turns, my required runway sighting looked like what I am used to seeing except the taxiway I was looking at was approximately twice as long and wide as the runway I am used to.

Title: UNAUTH LNDG. LANDED ON TXWY.
Narrative: I AM A STUDENT PLT AND HAVE TRAINED AT A SMALL ARPT WITH A SINGLE RWY AND NO TXWY. SINCE THIS HOME ARPT (18V) HAS NO LIGHTS, I WAS FLYING INTO BJC TO MEET MY INSTRUCTOR FOR NIGHT FLT LESSONS. THIS WAS MY SECOND SOLD FLT INTO BJC AND MY FIRST SOLD LNDG CLRNC FOR RWY 29R. AFTER INITIAL CONTACT AND INSTS I RPTED MY POS ABEAM THE TWR ON R DOWNWIND FOR RWY 29R. I WAS THEN CLRED TO LAND ON RWY 29R. AS I COMPLETED MY R DOWNWIND LEG I NOTICED ANOTHER ACFT AHEAD OF ME ON FINAL FOR RWY 29R. I THEN TURNED R BASE AND SUBSEQUENTLY, FINAL FOR RWY 29R. LOOKING AHEAD ON FINAL, I COULD SEE 1 ACFT RUNNING UP TO THE R OF THE RWY AND WHAT I BELIEVED TO BE THE ACFT THAT LANDED AHEAD OF ME A SUFFICIENT DISTANCE DOWN THE RWY. I THEN LANDED. SHORTLY AFTER LNDG I WAS CONTACTED BY THE TWR AND INSTRUCTED TO DECREASE SPD AS SOON AS PRACTICE BECAUSE I WAS ON THE TXWY. I THEN TAXIED TO THE TERMINAL AND CONTACTED THE TWR AS INSTRUCTED. AS A STUDENT I AM VERY AWARE OF RWY AND TXWY MARKINGS. UNFORTUNATELY, AFTER LOSING SIGHT OF THE RWY IN THE BASE AND FINAL TURNS, MY REQUIRED RWY SIGHTING LOOKED LIKE WHAT I AM USED TO SEEING EXCEPT THE TXWY I WAS LOOKING AT WAS APPROX TWICE AS LONG AND WIDE AS THE RWY I AM USED TO.
