Narrative:

During airwork, alternating 30 degree bank turns with 90-180 degree heading changes, my tcad alerted me to another aircraft in my airspace. It indicated 500 ft altitude separation and 2.1 mi lateral. I began to scan my flight path for any conflicts. I spotted the beech 1900 at about 1 O'clock low. We did indeed have an altitude separation (estimate 500 ft) and the closest we passed laterally was 1/2 mi.
