Narrative:

I am a pilot (so) for an airline and I am based in guam, mostly operating with scheduled flts. On the morning of apr/sun/95 I was scheduled to do a charter flight from guam to taipei (taiwan). We were scheduled to arrive in tpe at approximately XA30L and be relieved from duty for about 10 hours, so as to report back to work at XK30L which would have caused no problems. Not knowing if there was a crew to take over the flight when we arrived, which was supposed to fly from tpe to ror to tpe and back to gum. We were met by station personnel who advised us there was no crew and that we were the crew to do the flight. We had a full flight and, on top of that, they wanted to board the passenger as soon as possible. Being a so on a B-727 and having to do a quick turn, I have a high workload, and with all the running around to get the flight out, I did not even think about my legality. We flew the flight to ror and back to tpe where we were told we would remain overnight (minimum rest) and end our trip back in gum on apr/mon/95 at XA20L I understand that I am responsible for keeping track of my flight time, and I thought I would be fine, but I had exceeded 12 hours in 24 hours. I am concerned about this because when we originally arrived in tpe, I was not scheduled to continue the trip according to our airline crew scheduling.

Title: FAR. PLT EXCEEDED THE MAX ALLOWABLE FLT TIME IN 24 HRS.

Narrative: I AM A PLT (SO) FOR AN AIRLINE AND I AM BASED IN GUAM, MOSTLY OPERATING WITH SCHEDULED FLTS. ON THE MORNING OF APR/SUN/95 I WAS SCHEDULED TO DO A CHARTER FLT FROM GUAM TO TAIPEI (TAIWAN). WE WERE SCHEDULED TO ARRIVE IN TPE AT APPROX XA30L AND BE RELIEVED FROM DUTY FOR ABOUT 10 HRS, SO AS TO RPT BACK TO WORK AT XK30L WHICH WOULD HAVE CAUSED NO PROBS. NOT KNOWING IF THERE WAS A CREW TO TAKE OVER THE FLT WHEN WE ARRIVED, WHICH WAS SUPPOSED TO FLY FROM TPE TO ROR TO TPE AND BACK TO GUM. WE WERE MET BY STATION PERSONNEL WHO ADVISED US THERE WAS NO CREW AND THAT WE WERE THE CREW TO DO THE FLT. WE HAD A FULL FLT AND, ON TOP OF THAT, THEY WANTED TO BOARD THE PAX ASAP. BEING A SO ON A B-727 AND HAVING TO DO A QUICK TURN, I HAVE A HIGH WORKLOAD, AND WITH ALL THE RUNNING AROUND TO GET THE FLT OUT, I DID NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT MY LEGALITY. WE FLEW THE FLT TO ROR AND BACK TO TPE WHERE WE WERE TOLD WE WOULD REMAIN OVERNIGHT (MINIMUM REST) AND END OUR TRIP BACK IN GUM ON APR/MON/95 AT XA20L I UNDERSTAND THAT I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR KEEPING TRACK OF MY FLT TIME, AND I THOUGHT I WOULD BE FINE, BUT I HAD EXCEEDED 12 HRS IN 24 HRS. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THIS BECAUSE WHEN WE ORIGINALLY ARRIVED IN TPE, I WAS NOT SCHEDULED TO CONTINUE THE TRIP ACCORDING TO OUR AIRLINE CREW SCHEDULING.
