Narrative:
I came into ftg's airspace and entered the pattern on a 45 degree left downwind and announced all position. We were following a cessna turning left base to final when another plane entered the pattern on a left base. Since that plane went in front of us, we had to extend our downwind. After turning base following the traffic, I turned final. I announced all my position while in the pattern. When I was on about a 1 mi final, the high wing cessna that was following us turned base to final. I didn't see him until he was turning final right where we were on final. It was obvious he didn't see us even after I announced once again that I was short final. In order to avoid that aircraft, I banked right to get out of the way of that aircraft and I left the area to come back and reenter the pattern. Since I had to bank hard right, I ended up going a bit north of the airport. I was aware of den's airspace just to the north of ftg and made every effort to avoid the class B but might have clipped the edge.
