Narrative:
I was on a sales demonstration with a prospective buyer in the right seat of the airplane. We had radar following with evansville approach, approaching owensboro, ky, from the south. After evv approach turned us over to owensboro tower, we were instructed to make a straight in for runway 36, and report a 2 mi final. At this time my customer started asking questions about the avionics, and to make sure that the localizer/GS marker, beacon were working. I got all the frequencys and showed him that everything was working fine. I was paying too much attention to my customer and the avionics, I missed to call my 2 mi final to the tower. I found out when I touched down on the runway, and the tower cleared me to land at the same time. The tower asked me if I am aware that I landed without clearance. I told the tower that I'm sorry. I never intended to land without clearance. I should have paid more attention to my flying duties and answered the customer's questions after the flight on the ground.

Title: PLT OF AN SMA FAILED TO OBTAIN LNDG CLRNC.
Narrative: I WAS ON A SALES DEMONSTRATION WITH A PROSPECTIVE BUYER IN THE R SEAT OF THE AIRPLANE. WE HAD RADAR FOLLOWING WITH EVANSVILLE APCH, APCHING OWENSBORO, KY, FROM THE S. AFTER EVV APCH TURNED US OVER TO OWENSBORO TWR, WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO MAKE A STRAIGHT IN FOR RWY 36, AND RPT A 2 MI FINAL. AT THIS TIME MY CUSTOMER STARTED ASKING QUESTIONS ABOUT THE AVIONICS, AND TO MAKE SURE THAT THE LOC/GS MARKER, BEACON WERE WORKING. I GOT ALL THE FREQS AND SHOWED HIM THAT EVERYTHING WAS WORKING FINE. I WAS PAYING TOO MUCH ATTN TO MY CUSTOMER AND THE AVIONICS, I MISSED TO CALL MY 2 MI FINAL TO THE TWR. I FOUND OUT WHEN I TOUCHED DOWN ON THE RWY, AND THE TWR CLRED ME TO LAND AT THE SAME TIME. THE TWR ASKED ME IF I AM AWARE THAT I LANDED WITHOUT CLRNC. I TOLD THE TWR THAT I'M SORRY. I NEVER INTENDED TO LAND WITHOUT CLRNC. I SHOULD HAVE PAID MORE ATTN TO MY FLYING DUTIES AND ANSWERED THE CUSTOMER'S QUESTIONS AFTER THE FLT ON THE GND.
