Narrative:
After completing the before starting engines checklist down to the (when paper work received) items on a B-767-300, there were a few mins remaining before pushback. A decision was made to clean the pilot's windshields due to numerous 'bug strikes.' as the captain (myself) was completing his side and in the process of closing his sliding side window, the passenger service agent arrived on the scene with the final paper work. Although the window had been cranked closed as the locking mechanism was being rotated forward to the locked position, the distraction caused by the arrival of the agent caused the captain to not get the lever fully engaged in the locked position. On takeoff roll, a loud air leak ensued as airflow came over the window and the takeoff was aborted at approximately 80 KTS. We cleared the runway and resecured the window. The brake energy chart was checked and the appropriate cooling time was taken prior to continuing the flight as normal. Distrs once again interfered with the thorough accomplishment of a very routine task.

Title: THE CAPT'S SIDE WINDOW CAME OPEN ON TKOF ROLL.
Narrative: AFTER COMPLETING THE BEFORE STARTING ENGS CHKLIST DOWN TO THE (WHEN PAPER WORK RECEIVED) ITEMS ON A B-767-300, THERE WERE A FEW MINS REMAINING BEFORE PUSHBACK. A DECISION WAS MADE TO CLEAN THE PLT'S WINDSHIELDS DUE TO NUMEROUS 'BUG STRIKES.' AS THE CAPT (MYSELF) WAS COMPLETING HIS SIDE AND IN THE PROCESS OF CLOSING HIS SLIDING SIDE WINDOW, THE PAX SVC AGENT ARRIVED ON THE SCENE WITH THE FINAL PAPER WORK. ALTHOUGH THE WINDOW HAD BEEN CRANKED CLOSED AS THE LOCKING MECHANISM WAS BEING ROTATED FORWARD TO THE LOCKED POS, THE DISTR CAUSED BY THE ARR OF THE AGENT CAUSED THE CAPT TO NOT GET THE LEVER FULLY ENGAGED IN THE LOCKED POS. ON TKOF ROLL, A LOUD AIR LEAK ENSUED AS AIRFLOW CAME OVER THE WINDOW AND THE TKOF WAS ABORTED AT APPROX 80 KTS. WE CLRED THE RWY AND RESECURED THE WINDOW. THE BRAKE ENERGY CHART WAS CHKED AND THE APPROPRIATE COOLING TIME WAS TAKEN PRIOR TO CONTINUING THE FLT AS NORMAL. DISTRS ONCE AGAIN INTERFERED WITH THE THOROUGH ACCOMPLISHMENT OF A VERY ROUTINE TASK.
