Narrative:

IFR training flight, oil temperature got in red line after approximately 20 mins into flight, at 1/2 way point between concord, nh, and laconia, the departure point. I advised ATC to cancel IFR with advisories to laconia. Kept altitude as a precautionary measure until the plane reached airport. Landed without incident. Engine was fine. Cause: oil cooler air hose became disconnected, possibly due to 100 hour inspection that was recently completed.
