Narrative:
While on a biannual flight test and practicing touch-and-G0 crosswind lndgs, we landed gear up and skidded 250 ft. Landing was on centerline of runway at 60 KTS. All procedures were followed, including landing check. Later, while plane was jacked up and checked by FAA personnel, it was found that alarm horn was not functional. Note: it is supposed to be impossible to land gear up at stall speed and throttle off without the automatic gear down mechanism on my cherokee arrow. Another myth shattered. Damage: propeller, minor skid rails, antennae. The people at the facility told me that they saw me coming in wheels up but could not contact me as they just lost their unicom and were not allowed to broadcast. They used to have a unicom here the last time I was here. What a shame.
