Narrative:
No WX reported for N80 when called for briefing from FSS. WX for salisbury reported 5000 ft, 3-5 mi visibility. Approached N80 and found localizer inoperative in IMC. Executed missed approach (no NOTAM from FSS). Fuel light came on and did not wish to try again to N80 and got vector to salisbury. Lost radar contact but came into VFR conditions. Contacted salisbury and went direct and landed without verbally canceling IFR.
