Narrative:

Level FL270 awaiting climb clearance to FL330 north of adm en route to oma. TCASII TA with intruder 1-2 O'clock descending from FL280 and heading at us. Asked ATC his altitude and they verified level FL280. TCASII RA received to descend. Complied with RA descending to approximately FL258. Returned to FL270 and advised/questioned ATC about event. ATC advised clear of traffic and received climb clearance to FL330. Supplemental information from acn 304401: ATC stated TCASII alert was a false command.
