Narrative:
We were cleared to cross irq at FL240. We set up a VNAV descent. VNAV dscnts are power off at 2000 FPM. At approximately 25700 ft the controller amended and told us to maintain FL250. It's a big airplane and we just can't stop the descent quickly so we shot approximately 300 ft below FL250. We advised controller who stated, 'no problem!'
