Narrative:

En route portion of flight included jhw J29 syr. Passing over jhw, crew mistakenly flew the jhw 087 degree radial versus jhw 072 degree radial (the former being J82 and the later being J29). About 40 DME east of jhw, crew realized error and informed ATC (ZOB) that they were correcting to J29. ATC advised direct clearance to syr, no apparent conflict, ATC had not recognized deviation until crew advised them. Conclusion: be more careful. PNF backup PF. Note: PF reviewed chart and still took wrong airway (I'm not always this dumb).
