Narrative:
I took off from apple valley airport with just a local flight in mind. After 15 mins into flight, we decided that we would go over to rosemond airport for lunch. I mistook fox field for rosemond. I tried to get a response on unicom but did not get a landing advisory. I cleared for pattern approach and made a normal l-hand approach with no problems landing. There was a restaurant on the field. We had lunch for over an hour. While at the restaurant there was no attempt to make contact with me. At this point I was still unaware that I was at the wrong airport. This was the first time I had ever landed at either airport (rosemond or fox). I had seen the tower, but did not notice any activity, therefore I assumed that this was rosemond and that the tower was not manned. I taxied to runup area, did my checklist, cleared the pattern and made a l-hand departure as normal. It was not until I returned to apple valley airport and checked in with FBO that I was informed of my wrong doing of going into a controled area without radio contact.
