Narrative:
I was in the lavatory. When I got in the cockpit first officer informed me the aircraft deviated 500 ft from assigned altitude due to unknown autoplt disconnect. He had returned aircraft to proper altitude. Rest of flight was uneventful.

Title: ACR FO ALLOWED ACFT TO DEVIATE FROM CLRNC ALT WHILE CAPT WAS ABSENT FROM THE COCKPIT.
Narrative: I WAS IN THE LAVATORY. WHEN I GOT IN THE COCKPIT FO INFORMED ME THE ACFT DEVIATED 500 FT FROM ASSIGNED ALT DUE TO UNKNOWN AUTOPLT DISCONNECT. HE HAD RETURNED ACFT TO PROPER ALT. REST OF FLT WAS UNEVENTFUL.
