Narrative:
Air carrier X flying the departure out of cvg bound for dtw. ZID gave us a short-cut and cleared us direct torrr, direct mizar. We flew that after passing torrr, we proceeded direct to mizar for the arrival. ZID then turned us over to ZOB. About 5 mins later ZOB questioned if we were on the mizar 2 arrival. I explained what we had from ZID. The ZOB controller said he hadn't got that. He cleared us onto mizar (what we were doing). Either we had it right and the ZID controller didn't pass it on, or I read back direct torrr, direct mizar and it didn't register with the controller, or we both misinterpreted the clearance and misprogrammed the arrival incorrectly....communications (first officer and I).
