Narrative:
While taxiing to parking, between 2 rows of aircraft, the right wingtip of my aircraft struck the rudder of another parked aircraft. One taxi marshal was positioned ahead and to the left of the taxiing aircraft. Contributing factors to incident: markings in ramp area not conducive to safety with mixed aircraft types. Not parked far enough forward to allow sufficient clearance for dhc-6 aircraft to pass. Insufficient number of personnel to properly marshal aircraft to parking. Lack of vigilance on the part of flight crew in (air carrier X).
