Narrative:
Air carrier X cleared visual approach by ZLC, at angil intersection. Flew direct glaci OM, captain flying, at north edge of flathead lake switched to CTAF 123.0 and announced location and intention to land runway 2. No aircraft or unicom response. Switched back to ZLC on #2 radio to cancel IFR then switched back to CTAF on #1 radio, announced 7 mi south kalispell, inbound straight in runway 2 kalispell. Seconds later a glider was at 1 to 2 O'clock to our aircraft 1/2 mi converging. Glider passed below and to our right. No evasive action was needed. Glider called us after we passed. We told him we did not know he was in the area since he did not respond to our calls on CTAF. We announced our intentions again over CTAF, 5 mi straight in runway 2 kalispell. Landing was uneventful.
