Narrative:
Descending into daytona beach airport, we reported airport in sight and were given clearance for a visual approach to runway 25R. We mistakenly lined up on ormond beach final. We recognized our error at the same time that the approach controller did and turned left for a right base leg to daytona beach airport. No traffic conflicts. What is interesting about this occurrence is that the first officer and myself were aware of this hazard and had briefed it inbound to daytona! Bunnell, fl, airport lies in the same relative position to ormond airport as ormond is to daytona. We mistook bunnell to be ormond and therefore ormond to be daytona. I was in 'map' mode and the intercept looked good. I switched to 'rose' to verify raw data but couldn't wait for case break or I'd overshoot, so I rolled out on final, checked the localizer back course and realized the error. Visibility was hazy to the west and I could not make out details of the airport before turning. In the future, I will establish myself and localizer back course 'prior' to accepting visual approach to this facility.

Title: FLC ON VISUAL APCH LINES UP FOR RWY AT WRONG ARPT.
Narrative: DSNDING INTO DAYTONA BEACH ARPT, WE RPTED ARPT IN SIGHT AND WERE GIVEN CLRNC FOR A VISUAL APCH TO RWY 25R. WE MISTAKENLY LINED UP ON ORMOND BEACH FINAL. WE RECOGNIZED OUR ERROR AT THE SAME TIME THAT THE APCH CTLR DID AND TURNED L FOR A R BASE LEG TO DAYTONA BEACH ARPT. NO TFC CONFLICTS. WHAT IS INTERESTING ABOUT THIS OCCURRENCE IS THAT THE FO AND MYSELF WERE AWARE OF THIS HAZARD AND HAD BRIEFED IT INBOUND TO DAYTONA! BUNNELL, FL, ARPT LIES IN THE SAME RELATIVE POS TO ORMOND ARPT AS ORMOND IS TO DAYTONA. WE MISTOOK BUNNELL TO BE ORMOND AND THEREFORE ORMOND TO BE DAYTONA. I WAS IN 'MAP' MODE AND THE INTERCEPT LOOKED GOOD. I SWITCHED TO 'ROSE' TO VERIFY RAW DATA BUT COULDN'T WAIT FOR CASE BREAK OR I'D OVERSHOOT, SO I ROLLED OUT ON FINAL, CHKED THE LOC BACK COURSE AND REALIZED THE ERROR. VISIBILITY WAS HAZY TO THE W AND I COULD NOT MAKE OUT DETAILS OF THE ARPT BEFORE TURNING. IN THE FUTURE, I WILL ESTABLISH MYSELF AND LOC BACK COURSE 'PRIOR' TO ACCEPTING VISUAL APCH TO THIS FACILITY.
